Tendera in your own AI: MCP connection to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot
With Tendera's MCP connection, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot get access to the same procurement data you use in Tendera. You ask in your own AI; the answer comes from Tendera's database.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting an AI application to an external data source. Once Tendera is connected to your AI through MCP, the AI can fetch information straight from Tendera while it answers your question. The Tendera connection has been tested in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot, and more AI tools will be added as needed.
Why a general-purpose AI is not enough in public-sector sales
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are good at writing and summarising, but they do not know what Vantaa decided last week or who won the previous cleaning tender. Without Tendera, the AI answers from memory or searches the web for whatever it happens to find. Much procurement information, however, is out of reach of search engines. Officeholder decisions disappear from municipal websites within a few weeks, meeting minutes sit in PDF files and small-scale procurements are scattered across different portals.
Tendera gathers this data into one database in advance. When the AI asks Tendera, the answer comes from the database rather than a guess, and every finding links to the original document in Tendera.

The connection is read-only: the AI fetches information from Tendera but cannot change anything. Of your own data, it only sees your search profiles and bids, not other customers' data.
How to get started
- Intelligence plan. Tendera in your own AI is included in the Intelligence plan.
- Connect Tendera to your AI. Tendera is added as an external connection in your AI's settings (for example Connectors in ChatGPT and Claude). We set up the connection together with you.
- Ask. The AI fetches the answers from Tendera and includes links to the sources.
Tips for better answers
- Narrow down the time and area. "Uusimaa, 2024–2026" gives a more precise answer than "recently".
- Ask for sources. Every procurement and decision has a link to Tendera, where you can see the whole document.
- Check the figures before you use them in a bid. The data comes from the original sources, but the AI can still misinterpret it.
- Narrow down large result sets. If there are many results, the AI goes through them one page at a time. A narrower query gives a more complete answer.

What does the Tendera connection cost?
The connection is included in Tendera's Intelligence plan. You also need an AI service that supports external connections (MCP). Some services allow this on a free account too, and we go through the options when you get started.
Can the AI change data in Tendera?
No. The connection is read-only: the AI fetches information from Tendera but does not save, edit or delete anything.
Can the AI see all of Tendera's data?
The AI sees Tendera's procurement and decision data plus your own search profiles and bids, not other customers' data.
